Frances S. Hunting       Boothbay Register, 3/13/2003

Frances Stafford Hunting, a summer resident of Bayville for over 60 years, died March 6 in her 96th year.

Born in Brookline, Mass., she was the daughter of David and Elizabeth (Carter) Sutton and was a graduate of Newton High School and Smith College.

Mrs. Hunting was predeceased by her husbands, Alfred H. Stafford and Raymond D. Hunting; and her brother David Sutton and his wife, Bettina.

Survivors include one daughter, Deborah Gilchrist and her husband Barrett of Bayville and Wellesley, Mass.; one son, David Carter Stafford and his wife Charlotte of Bayville and Wayland, Mass.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A private family gathering in celebration of her life will be held in the spring.
